यद्य अग्नयॊ हि सपृश्येयुर निवेशस्था दवाग्निना इष्टिर अष्टाकपालेन कार्या तु शुचये ऽगनये ॥ ३-२११-२६ ॥
'If the fires in their designated places, called Nivesa, come into contact with the fire known as Devagni, the Ashtakapala rites must be performed in honor of the fire Suchi for rectification.' ॥ 3-211-26 ॥
english translation
अग्निं रजस्वला चेत सत्री संस्पृशेद अग्निहॊत्रिकम इष्टिर अष्टाकपालेन कार्या दस्युमते ऽगनये ॥ ३-२११-२७ ॥
'And if the perpetual fire is touched by a woman during her monthly course, rectification must be made by performing the Ashtakapala rites in honor of the fire called Dasyuman.' ॥ 3-211-27 ॥
english translation
मृतः शरूयेत यॊ जीवन परेयुः पशवॊ यथा इष्टिर अष्टाकपालेन कर्तव्याभिमते ऽगनये ॥ ३-२११-२८ ॥
'If, at the time of performing the Agnihotra rites, the death of any creature is mentioned, or if animals die, then rectification must be made by performing the Ashtakapala rites in honor of the Suraman fire.' ॥ 3-211-28 ॥
english translation
आर्तॊ न जुहुयाद अग्निं तरिरात्रं यस तु बराह्मणः इष्टिर अष्टाकपालेन कार्या सयाद उत्तराग्नये ॥ ३-२११-२९ ॥
'A Brahmana who, due to illness, is unable to offer oblations to the sacred fire for three nights, must atone for this lapse by performing the Ashtakapala rites in honor of the northern fire.' ॥ 3-211-29 ॥

दर्शं च पौर्णमासं च यस्य तिष्ठेत परतिष्ठितम इष्टिर अष्टाकपालेन कार्या पथिकृते ऽगनये ॥ ३-२११-३० ॥
'If one who has performed the Darsa and Paurnamasya rites requires rectification, it must be done by performing the Ashtakapala rites in honor of the fire called Pathikrit.' ॥ 3-211-30 ॥
