नाहत्वा तं निवर्तिष्ये पुरीं दवारवतीं परति सशाल्वं सौभनगरं हत्वा दरष्टास्मि वः पुनः तरिसामा हन्यताम एषा दुन्दुभिः शत्रुभीषणी ॥ ३-२१-९ ॥
'I shall not return to Dwaravati without having slain him. I will come back to you only after having obliterated Salwa along with his gleaming metal car. Strike up the sharp, middle, and flat notes of the Dundubhi, so dreadful to foes!' ॥ 3-21-9 ॥
