[मार्क] अत्राप्य उदाहरन्तीमम इतिहासं पुरातनम यथा करुद्धॊ हुतवहस तपस तप्तुं वनं गतः ॥ ३-२०७-६ ॥
'Markandeya replied, "In this regard, the learned recount an ancient story: how the fire-god, in a fit of rage, sought the waters of the sea to perform penance."' ॥ 3-207-6 ॥
