अग्निवेगवहः पराणॊ गुदान्ते परतिहन्यते स ऊर्ध्वम आगम्य पुनः समुत्क्षिपति पावकम ॥ ३-२०३-२५ ॥

sanskrit

'The life-breath (prana), which carries the force of fire/heat, is checked/resisted at the end of the rectum (guda). Then, moving upward again, it throws up the digestive fire.' ।। 3-203-25 ।।

english translation

agnivegavahaH parANò gudAnte paratihanyate sa Urdhvama Agamya punaH samutkSipati pAvakama ॥ 3-203-25 ॥
