पराणानां संनिपातात तु संनिपातः परजायते उष्मा चाग्निर इति जञेयॊ यॊ ऽननं पचति देहिनाम ॥ ३-२०३-२२ ॥
'When Prana and the other vital airs combine, a reaction occurs, and the heat generated is known as the internal heat of the body, which is responsible for the digestion of food.' ॥ 3-203-22 ॥
