शब्दं सपर्शं तथारूपं गन्धान इष्टांश च सत्तम परभुत्वं लभते चापि धर्मस्यैतत फलं विदुः ॥ ३-२००-४६ ॥
'Virtuous people, O noble one, attain dominion over all things and enjoy the pleasures of beauty, taste, sound, and touch, according to their desires.' ॥ 3-200-46 ॥
english translation
धर्मस्य च फलं लब्ध्वा न तृप्यति महाद्विज अतृप्यमाणॊ निर्वेदम आदत्ते जञानचक्षुषा ॥ ३-२००-४७ ॥
'These are recognized as the rewards of virtue. However, the man of enlightened vision, O great Brahmana, is not satisfied with merely reaping the fruits of righteousness. Not content with this, he, guided by the light of spiritual wisdom within him, becomes indifferent to both pain and pleasure, and is unaffected by the vices of the world.' ॥ 3-200-47 ॥
english translation
परज्ञा चक्षुर नर इह दॊषं नैवानुरुध्यते विरज्यति यथाकामं न च धर्मं विमुञ्चति ॥ ३-२००-४८ ॥
'Of his own free will, he becomes indifferent to worldly pursuits, but he forsakes not virtue.' ॥ 3-200-48 ॥
english translation
सत्यत्यागे च यतते दृष्ट्वा लॊकं कषयात्मकम ततॊ मॊक्षे परयतते नानुपायाद उपायतः ॥ ३-२००-४९ ॥
'Observing that everything worldly is transient, he strives to renounce all attachments. Relying on the right means, he devises ways to attain salvation.' ॥ 3-200-49 ॥
english translation
एवं निर्वेदम आदत्ते पापं कर्म जहाति च धार्मिकश चापि भवति मॊक्षं च लभते परम ॥ ३-२००-५० ॥
'Thus, he renounces worldly pursuits, shuns the paths of sin, becomes virtuous, and ultimately attains liberation.' ॥ 3-200-50 ॥
