येषाम अस्ति च भॊक्तव्यं गरहणी दॊषपीडिताः न शक्नुवन्ति ते भॊक्तुं पश्य धर्मभृतां वर ।। ३-२००-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'And, O best of the upholders of righteousness, you have observed that those who have the means to enjoy the good things of this world are often prevented from doing so due to chronic ailments.' ।। 3-200-16 ।।

english translation

yeSAma asti ca bhòktavyaM garahaNI dòSapIDitAH na zaknuvanti te bhòktuM pazya dharmabhRtAM vara || 3-200-16 ||

'Many others, strong and powerful, endure suffering and find it exceedingly difficult to secure their livelihood.' ।। 3-200-17 ।।

'Thus, every man is helpless, overwhelmed by misery and illusion, continually tossed and dominated by the mighty current of his own actions (karma).' ।। 3-200-18 ।।

'If there were absolute freedom of action, no creature would die, none would suffer decay or await their inevitable fate, and everyone would attain the object of their desire.' ।। 3-200-19 ।।

na mariyeyura na jIryeyuH sarve sayuH sArvakAmikAH nApriyaM paratipazyeyura vazitvaM yadi vai bhaveta || 3-200-19 ||
