पितृमातृमयी सिद्धिः पराप्ता कर्ममयी च ते तपसा सिद्धिम अन्विच्छ कुर्वते तद अनुग्रहात ॥ ३-२-७८ ॥
'You have already fulfilled your duties to your ancestors, both male and female and achieved success through your actions, including sacrifices. Now, for the sake of serving the learned and virtuous, strive to attain success through penance.' ॥ 3-2-78 ॥
