सम्यक संकल्पसंबन्धात सम्यक चेन्द्रियनिग्रहात सम्यग वरतविशेषाच च सम्यक च गुरु सेवनात ॥ ३-२-७४ ॥
'Those who seek to achieve salvation must act with complete detachment from personal motives, rigorously control their senses, steadfastly observe their vows, faithfully serve their teachers, discipline their diet, diligently study the Vedas, eschew base actions, and restrain their hearts.' ॥ 3-2-74 ॥
