अतश च धर्मिभिः पुम्भिर अनीहार्थः परशस्यते परक्षालनाद धि पङ्कस्य दूराद अस्पर्शनं वरम ।। ३-२-४७ ।।

sanskrit

'Those who are free from the desire for wealth are praised by the virtuous, as true peace comes from relinquishing such desires. And as for those who seek wealth with virtuous intentions, it is better for them to abandon such pursuits entirely. It is preferable to avoid the mire altogether than to become tainted and then try to cleanse oneself.' ।। 3-2-47 ।।

ataza ca dharmibhiH pumbhira anIhArthaH parazasyate parakSAlanAda dhi paGkasya dUrAda asparzanaM varama || 3-2-47 ||
