अर्थ एव हि केषां चिद अनर्थॊ भविता नृणाम अर्थश्रेयसि चासक्तॊ न शरेयॊ विन्दते नरः तस्माद अर्थागमाः सर्वे मनॊ मॊहविवर्धनाः ॥ ३-२-४० ॥
'For many, their wealth becomes a source of misfortune. Those who see happiness solely in wealth and become attached to it fail to understand true happiness. Thus, the accumulation of wealth is often seen as increasing both greed and folly.' ॥ 3-2-40 ॥
