तरीण्य एव तु पदान्य आहुः सतां वृत्तम अनुत्तमम न दरुह्येच चैव दद्याच च सत्यं चैव सदा वदेत ।। ३-१९८-८९ ।।

sanskrit

'Freedom from malice, forbearance, tranquility, contentment, pleasant speech, renunciation of desire and anger, virtuous conduct, and actions in harmony with sacred teachings—these form the true path of the virtuous.' ।। 3-198-89 ।।

english translation

tarINya eva tu padAnya AhuH satAM vRttama anuttamama na daruhyeca caiva dadyAca ca satyaM caiva sadA vadeta || 3-198-89 ||
