जितेन्द्रियॊ धर्मपरः सवाध्यायनिरतः शुचिः कामक्रॊधौ वशे यस्य तं देवा बराह्मणं विदुः ॥ ३-१९७-३३ ॥
'The gods know him to be a Brahmana who has mastery over his senses, is virtuous and pure, devoted to the study of the Vedas, and has control over both anger and desire.' ॥ 3-197-33 ॥
