मन्ये ऽहं गुरुवत सर्वम एकपत्न्यस तथा सत्रियः पतिव्रतानां शुश्रूषा दुष्करा परतिभाति मे ॥ ३-१९६-५ ॥

sanskrit

'All these venerable ones deserve our highest reverence. Equally deserving of honor is the woman who remains devoted to a single lord. The devotion and service that chaste wives offer to their husbands seem to me to be exceedingly arduous and worthy of great reverence.' ॥ 3-196-5 ॥

english translation

manye 'haM guruvata sarvama ekapatnyasa tathA satriyaH pativratAnAM zuzrUSA duSkarA paratibhAti me ॥ 3-196-5 ॥
