इत्य उक्त्वा वचनं मत्स्यः कषणेनादर्शनं गतः सरष्टुकामः परजाश चापि मनुर वैवस्वतः सवयम परमूढॊ ऽभूत परजा सर्गे तपस तेपे महत ततः ॥ ३-१८५-५१ ॥
'Having spoken thus, the fish vanished instantly. Vaivaswata Manu, desiring to create the world, was overcome by illusion. Therefore, he undertook great asceticism to accomplish this task.' ॥ 3-185-51 ॥
english translation
तपसा महता युक्तः सॊ ऽथ सरष्टुं परचक्रमे सर्वाः परजा मनुः साक्षाद यथावद भरतर्षभ ॥ ३-१८५-५२ ॥
'Endowed with ascetic merit, Manu, O ornament of Bharata's race, resumed his work of creating all beings in their proper and exact order.' ॥ 3-185-52 ॥
english translation
इत्य एतन मात्यकं नाम पुराणं परिकीर्तितम आख्यानम इदम आख्यातं सर्वपापहरं मया ॥ ३-१८५-५३ ॥
'This story, which I have narrated to you and the hearing of which destroys all sin, is celebrated as the Legend of the Fish.' ॥ 3-185-53 ॥
english translation
य इदं शृणुयान नित्यं मनॊश चरितम आदितः स सुखी सर्वसिद्धार्थः सवर्गलॊकम इयान नरः ॥ ३-१८५-५४ ॥
'And the man who listens daily to this ancient tale of Manu attains happiness, fulfills all his desires, and ascends to heaven.' ॥ 3-185-54 ॥
