कर्मणः पुरुषः कर्ता शुभस्याप्य अशुभस्य च सवफलं तद उपाश्नाति कथं कर्ता सविद ईश्वरः ॥ ३-१८१-५ ॥

sanskrit

'A person is the doer of actions, both good and bad, And they themselves experience the fruits of those actions, How then can God be considered the doer?' ॥ 3-181-5 ॥

english translation

karmaNaH puruSaH kartA zubhasyApya azubhasya ca savaphalaM tada upAznAti kathaM kartA savida IzvaraH ॥ 3-181-5 ॥
