भवत्य एव हि मे बुद्धिर दृष्ट्वात्मानं सुखाच चयुतम धार्तराष्ट्रांश च दुर्वृत्तन्न ऋध्यतः परेक्ष्य सर्वशः ॥ ३-१८१-४ ॥

sanskrit

'Indeed, when I look at myself, deprived of happiness, and contemplate the sons of Dhritarashtra, leading lives of evil yet prospering in every way, I am led to believe that it is man who performs all actions, whether good or bad, and it is he who reaps the fruits of those actions.' ॥ 3-181-4 ॥

english translation

bhavatya eva hi me buddhira dRSTvAtmAnaM sukhAca cayutama dhArtarASTrAMza ca durvRttanna RdhyataH parekSya sarvazaH ॥ 3-181-4 ॥
