यस्माद अभावी भावी वा मनुष्यः सुखदुःखयॊः आगमे यदि वापाये न तत्र गरपयेन मनः ॥ ३-१७६-२६ ॥
'For in matters of happiness and misery, men sometimes have the power to bring them upon themselves or to dismiss them, while at other times they are beyond their control.' ॥ 3-176-26 ॥
