वेपमानाः पराञ्जलयस ते सर्वे पिहिताननाः दह्यमानास तदास्त्रैस तैर याचन्ति सम धनंजयम ॥ ३-१७२-११ ॥
'All of them, trembling with folded hands and their faces covered, being scorched by those weapons, implored Dhananjaya for mercy.' ॥ 3-172-11 ॥
english translation
vepamAnAH parAJjalayasa te sarve pihitAnanAH dahyamAnAsa tadAstraisa taira yAcanti sama dhanaMjayama ॥ 3-172-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ बरह्मर्षयश चैव सिधाश चैव सुरर्षयः जङ्गमानि च भूतानि सर्वाण्य एवावतस्थिरे ॥ ३-१७२-१२ ॥
'Then the Brahmarshis, the Siddhas, and the celestial Rishis, along with all the creatures, stood still in awe.' ॥ 3-172-12 ॥
english translation
tatò barahmarSayaza caiva sidhAza caiva surarSayaH jaGgamAni ca bhUtAni sarvANya evAvatasthire ॥ 3-172-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptराजर्षयश च परवरास तथैव च दिवौकसः यक्षराक्षस गन्धर्वास तथैव च पतत्रिणः ॥ ३-१७२-१३ ॥
'And the foremost of the Devarshis, along with the celestials, Yakshas, Rakshasas, Gandharvas, the feathered tribes, and all other sky-ranging beings, appeared on the scene.' ॥ 3-172-13 ॥

rAjarSayaza ca paravarAsa tathaiva ca divaukasaH yakSarAkSasa gandharvAsa tathaiva ca patatriNaH ॥ 3-172-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः पितामहश चैव लॊकपालाश च सर्वशः भगवांश च महादेवः सगणॊ ऽभयाययौ तदा ॥ ३-१७२-१४ ॥
'Then, the grandsire, along with all the Lokapalas and the divine Mahadeva, came there, accompanied by their followers.' ॥ 3-172-14 ॥

'Then, O great king, Vayu, bearing divine, variegated blossoms, began scattering them around the Pandavas.' ॥ 3-172-15 ॥
