अहं सौभपतेः सेनाम आयसैर भुजगैर इव धनुर भुजविनिर्मुक्तैर नाशयाम्य अद्य यादवाः ॥ ३-१७-३१ ॥

'Ye Yadavas, this day, I shall destroy the host of the lord of Saubha with my weapons, which are like serpents unleashed from my bow.' ॥ 3-17-31 ॥

english translation

ahaM saubhapateH senAma Ayasaira bhujagaira iva dhanura bhujavinirmuktaira nAzayAmya adya yAdavAH ॥ 3-17-31 ॥

आश्वसध्वं न भीः कार्या सौभराड अद्य नश्यति मयाभिपन्नॊ दुष्टात्मा ससौभॊ विनशिष्यति ॥ ३-१७-३२ ॥

'Take heart, all of you, and do not be afraid! Today, the lord of Saubha will be vanquished along with his chariot by my hand!' ॥ 3-17-32 ॥

AzvasadhvaM na bhIH kAryA saubharADa adya nazyati mayAbhipannò duSTAtmA sasaubhò vinaziSyati ॥ 3-17-32 ॥

एवं बरुवति संहृष्टे परद्युम्ने पाण्डुनन्दन विष्ठितं तद बलं वीर युयुधे च यथासुखम ॥ ३-१७-३३ ॥

'Upon hearing Pradyumna’s bold and encouraging words, the Yadava army, filled with renewed courage, remained steadfast on the battlefield and fought with great zeal.' ॥ 3-17-33 ॥
