सुरकार्यार्थ सिद्ध्यर्थं दृष्टवान असि शंकरम अस्मत्तॊ ऽपि गृहाण तवम अस्त्राणीति समन्ततः ॥ ३-१६४-१६ ॥
'For the fulfillment of the gods' task, you have been granted the vision of Sankara. Now, accept the weapons from us, seated around you.' ॥ 3-164-16 ॥
english translation
ततॊ ऽहं परयतॊ भूत्वा परणिपत्य सुरर्षभान परत्यगृह्णं तदास्त्राणि महान्ति विधिवत परभॊ ॥ ३-१६४-१७ ॥
'Thereupon, O Lord, having bowed with reverence to those foremost of the celestials, I duly accepted the mighty weapons.' ॥ 3-164-17 ॥
english translation
गृहीतास्त्रस ततॊ देवैर अनुज्ञ्षातॊ ऽसमि भारत अथ देवा ययुः सर्वे यथागतम अरिंदम ॥ ३-१६४-१८ ॥
'Then, they acknowledged me as one of their own. Afterward, the gods returned to their respective realms from where they had come.' ॥ 3-164-18 ॥
english translation
मघवान अपि देवेशॊ रथम आरुह्य सुप्रभम उवाच भगवान वाक्यं समयन्न इव सुरारिहा ॥ ३-१६४-१९ ॥
'And Maghavan (Indra), the lord of gods, mounting his brilliant chariot, spoke these divine words, as if smiling, he who is the slayer of the enemies of gods.' ॥ 3-164-19 ॥

पुरैवागमनाद अस्माद वेदाहं तवां धनंजय अतः परं तव अहं वै तवां दर्शये भरतर्षभ ॥ ३-१६४-२० ॥
'Since I have already known you from before, O Dhananjaya, now, O best of the Bharatas, I shall reveal you in your true form.' ॥ 3-164-20 ॥
