[अर्ज] ततस ताम अवसं परीतॊ रजनीं तत्र भारत परसादाद देवदेवस्य तर्यम्बकस्य महात्मनः ॥ ३-१६४-१ ॥
'Arjuna said: "O Bharata, by the grace of Tryambaka, the Supreme Soul and Lord of all gods, I spent that night peacefully at that sacred place."' ॥ 3-164-1 ॥
english translation
वयुषितॊ रजनीं चाहं कृत्वा पूर्वाह्णिक करियाम अपश्यं तं दविजश्रेष्ठं दृष्टवान अस्मि यं पुरा ॥ ३-१६४-२ ॥
'And after spending the night, I completed my morning rituals and once again beheld that foremost of Brahmanas, whom I had encountered earlier.' ॥ 3-164-2 ॥
english translation
तस्मै चाहं यथावृत्तं सर्वम एव नयवेदयम भगवन्तं महादेवं समेतॊ ऽसमीति भारत ॥ ३-१६४-३ ॥
'And to him, I recounted everything as it had transpired, O Bharata, informing him that I had encountered the divine Mahadeva.' ॥ 3-164-3 ॥
english translation
स माम उवाच राजेन्द्र परीयमाणॊ दविजॊत्तमः दृष्टस तवया महादेवॊ यथा नान्येन केन चित ॥ ३-१६४-४ ॥
'Then, O king of kings, the Brahmana, well-pleased, said to me, 'You have beheld the great god, whom none other has the power to see.'' ॥ 3-164-4 ॥
english translation
समेत्य लॊकपालैस तु सर्वैर वैवस्वतादिभिः दरष्टास्य अनघ देवेन्द्रं स च ते ऽसत्राणि दास्यति ॥ ३-१६४-५ ॥
'Soon, you will join Vaivasvata, the other Lokapalas, and the lord of the celestials. Indra himself will grant you divine weapons.' ॥ 3-164-5 ॥
