ततॊ ऽहं धनुर आदाय तथाक्षय्यौ महेषुधी सहसाभ्यहनं भूतं तान्य अप्य अस्त्राण्य अभक्षयत ॥ ३-१६३-३६ ॥

'Thereupon, grasping my bow and the two inexhaustible quivers without delay, I unleashed my arrows upon that being. Yet, it swallowed all those weapons effortlessly.' ॥ 3-163-36 ॥

english translation

हतेष्व अस्त्रेषु सर्वेषु भक्षितेष्व आयुधेषु च मम तस्य च भूतस्य बाहुयुद्धम अवर्तत ॥ ३-१६३-३७ ॥

'When all the weapons had been thwarted and devoured, a fierce wrestling match ensued between him and me.' ॥ 3-163-37 ॥

english translation

वयायाममुष्टिभिः कृत्वा तलैर अपि समाहतौ अपातयच च तद भूतं निश्चेष्टॊ हय अगमं महीम ॥ ३-१६३-३८ ॥

'We first clashed with powerful blows, and then with slaps. However, unable to defeat that being, I was struck with stupor and fell helplessly to the ground.' ॥ 3-163-38 ॥

english translation

ततः परहस्य तद भूतं तत्रैवान्तरधीयत सह सत्रीभिर महाराज पश्यतॊ मे ऽदभुतॊपमम ॥ ३-१६३-३९ ॥

'Thereupon, O mighty king, with a laugh, that wondrous being vanished from my sight at that spot, accompanied by the women.' ॥ 3-163-39 ॥

english translation

एवं कृत्वा स भगवांस ततॊ ऽनयद रूपम आत्मनः दिव्यम एव मरा राजवसानॊ ऽदभुतम अम्बरम ॥ ३-१६३-४० ॥

'Having done thus, the divine one (Bhagavan) then transformed his form to his divine self, wearing wonderful celestial garments.' ॥ 3-163-40 ॥
