संवत्सरं बरह्मचारी नियतः संशितव्रतः स जीवेत निराबाधः सुसुखी शरदां शतम ॥ ३-१६२-१६ ॥
'That learned man who, for a year, lives the Brahmacharya life, subduing his senses and observing vows, and reads with rapt attention the account of Sakra's meeting with the Pandavas, will live a hundred years, free from disturbances, and enjoy great happiness.' ॥ 3-162-16 ॥
