एतं पर्वतराजानं समुद्रं च महॊदधिम आवसन वरुणॊ राजा भूतानि परिरक्षति ॥ ३-१६०-११ ॥

'And King Varuna protects all creatures, dwelling in this king of mountains and in the vast depths of the sea.' ॥ 3-160-11 ॥

उदीचीं दीपयन्न एष दिशं तिष्ठति कीर्तिमान महामेरुर महाभाग शिवॊ बरह्मविदां गतिः ॥ ३-१६०-१२ ॥

'O fortunate one, there, shining upon the northern regions, lies the mighty Mahameru, auspicious and the refuge of those who know Brahma.' ॥ 3-160-12 ॥

udIcIM dIpayanna eSa dizaM tiSThati kIrtimAna mahAmerura mahAbhAga zivò barahmavidAM gatiH ॥ 3-160-12 ॥

यस्मिन बरह्म सदॊ चैव तिष्ठते च परजापतिः भूतात्मा विसृजन सर्वं यत किं चिज जङ्गमागमम ॥ ३-१६०-१३ ॥

'It is here that Brahma's court resides, and where Prajapati, the soul of all beings, has created all that is mobile and immobile.' ॥ 3-160-13 ॥

यान आहुर बरह्मणः पुत्रान मानसान दक्ष सप्तमान तेषाम अपि महामेरुः सथानं शिवम अनामयम ॥ ३-१६०-१४ ॥

'Mahameru is the auspicious and imperishable abode of the seven mind-born sons of Brahma, of whom Daksha was the seventh.' ॥ 3-160-14 ॥
