एतद आहुर महेन्द्रस्य राज्ञॊ वैश्वरणस्य च ऋशयः सर्वधर्मज्ञाः सद्म तात मनीषिणः ॥ ३-१६०-६ ॥

'And, O child, the wise sages, well-versed in every duty, declare that this region is the abode of Indra and King Vaisravana.' ॥ 3-160-6 ॥

अतश चॊद्यन्तम आदित्यम उपतिष्ठन्ति वै परजाः ऋषयश चापि धर्मज्ञाः सिद्धाः साध्याश च देवताः ॥ ३-१६०-७ ॥

'The twice-born, the sages knowledgeable in duties, the Siddhas, the Sadhyas, and the celestials all offer their adoration to the Sun as he rises from this point.' ॥ 3-160-7 ॥

ataza còdyantama Adityama upatiSThanti vai parajAH RSayaza cApi dharmajJAH siddhAH sAdhyAza ca devatAH ॥ 3-160-7 ॥

यमस तु राजा धर्मात्मा सर्वप्राणभृतां परभुः परेतसत्त्वगतीम एतां दक्षिणाम आश्रितॊ दिशम ॥ ३-१६०-८ ॥

'And that lord of all living beings, King Yama, who is versed in duty, presides over the southern region, to which the spirits of the departed journey.' ॥ 3-160-8 ॥

'This is Sanyamana, the sacred and wondrous abode of the Lord of Departed Spirits, crowned with supreme prosperity.' ॥ 3-160-9 ॥
