आघॊषितं च नगरे न पातव्या सुरेति ह परमादं परिरक्षद्भिर उग्रसेनॊद्धवादिभिः ॥ ३-१६-१२ ॥

sanskrit

'Placing themselves on commanding posts and supported by cavalry and standard-bearers, they began to defend the city. Ugrasena, Uddhava, and others, to prevent any lapse in vigilance, declared throughout the city that no one should drink.' ॥ 3-16-12 ॥

AghòSitaM ca nagare na pAtavyA sureti ha paramAdaM parirakSadbhira ugrasenòddhavAdibhiH ॥ 3-16-12 ॥
