राजद्विष्टं न कर्तव्यम इति धर्मविदॊ विदुः तरिदशानाम इदं दविष्टं भीमसेन तवया कृतम ॥ ३-१५८-११ ॥
'It is said by those well-versed in duty that actions which displease a monarch should never be undertaken. Yet, O Bhimasena, you have committed a deed that may even offend the gods.' ॥ 3-158-11 ॥

अर्थधर्माव अनादृत्य यः पापे कुरुते मनः कर्मणां पार्थ पापानां सफलं विन्दते धरुवम पुनर एवं न कर्तव्यं मम चेद इच्छसि परियम ॥ ३-१५८-१२ ॥
'He who, disregarding both gain and duty, turns toward sin must, O Partha, bear the consequences of his actions. However, if you seek my welfare, never again commit such an act.' ॥ 3-158-12 ॥

एवम उक्त्वा स धर्मात्मा भराता भरातरम अच्युतम अर्थतत्त्वविघागज्ञः कुन्तीपुत्रॊ युधिष्ठिरः विरराम महातेजा तम एवार्थं विचिन्तयन ॥ ३-१५८-१३ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, "After speaking these words to his brother, Vrikodara, the virtuous and steadfast son of Kunti, Yudhishthira, well-versed in the principles of duty and righteousness, fell silent and began to contemplate the matter deeply."' ॥ 3-158-13 ॥

ततस तु हतशिष्टा ये भीमसेनेन राक्षसाः सहिताः परत्यपद्यन्त कुबेर सदनं परति ॥ ३-१५८-१४ ॥
'Meanwhile, the surviving Rakshasas, who had been spared by Bhima, fled in a group towards the abode of Kubera.' ॥ 3-158-14 ॥

ते जवेन महावेगाः पराप्य वैश्रवणालयम भीमम आर्तस्वरं चक्रुर भीमसेनभयार्दिताः ॥ ३-१५८-१५ ॥
'Those of exceptional speed, having swiftly reached Vaisravana's abode, began to cry out in loud distress, overwhelmed with fear of Bhima.' ॥ 3-158-15 ॥
