शुशुभे स महाबाहुर गदाखड्गधनुर्धरः निहत्य समरे सर्वान दानवान मघवान इव ॥ ३-१५८-६ ॥
'Armed with his mace, sword, and bow, the mighty-armed one resembled Maghavan after slaying the host of Danavas.' ॥ 3-158-6 ॥

ततस ते समतिक्रम्य परिष्वज्य वृकॊदरम तत्रॊपविविशुः पार्थाः पराप्ता गतिम अनुत्तमाम ॥ ३-१५८-७ ॥
'Upon seeing their brother, the Pandavas, who had attained an exalted state, they embraced him and then sat down there.' ॥ 3-158-7 ॥

तैश चतुर्भिर महेष्वासैर गिरिशृङ्गम अशॊभत लॊकपालैर महाभागैर दिवं देववरैर इव ॥ ३-१५८-८ ॥
'With those mighty bowmen, the summit appeared majestic, like heaven itself, adorned by the foremost of the celestials, the highly fortunate Lokapalas.' ॥ 3-158-8 ॥

कुबेर सदनं दृष्ट्वा राक्षसांश च निपातितान भराता भरातरम आसीनम अभ्यभाषत पाण्डवम ॥ ३-१५८-९ ॥
'Upon seeing Kubera's abode and the Rakshasas lying slain on the ground, the king spoke to his seated brother, saying:' ॥ 3-158-9 ॥

साहसाद यदि वा मॊहाद भीम पापम इदं कृतम नैतत ते सदृशं वीर मुनेर इव मृषा वचः ॥ ३-१५८-१० ॥
'Whether out of rashness or ignorance, O Bhima, you have committed a sinful act. O hero, as one leading the life of an ascetic, this senseless slaughter is uncharacteristic of you.' ॥ 3-158-10 ॥
