न चाप्य अतः परं शक्यं गन्तुं भरतसत्तमाः विहारॊ हय अत्र देवानाम अमानुष गतिस तु सा ॥ ३-१५६-२१ ॥

'Therefore, do not feel inclined to go there. Moreover, O best of the Bharata race, it is impossible to venture beyond this point.' ॥ 3-156-21 ॥

english translation

ईषच चपल कर्माणं मनुष्यम इह भारत दविषन्ति सर्वभूतानि ताषयन्ति च राक्षसाः ॥ ३-१५६-२२ ॥

'That place is the celestial realm of sport, beyond the reach of mortals. O Bharata, in this sacred region, all beings harbor ill will towards, and the Rakshasas punish, anyone who dares commit even the slightest act of aggression.' ॥ 3-156-22 ॥

english translation

अभ्यतिक्रम्य शिखरं शैलस्यास्य युधिष्ठिर गतिः परमसिद्धानां देवर्षीणां परकाशते ॥ ३-१५६-२३ ॥

'Beyond the summit of this Kailasa cliff lies the path of the celestial sages.' ॥ 3-156-23 ॥

english translation

चापलाद इह गछन्तं पार्थ यानम अतः परम अयः शूलादिभिर घनन्ति राक्षसाः शत्रुसूदन ॥ ३-१५६-२४ ॥

'Should anyone, out of recklessness, venture beyond it, the Rakshasas will strike him down with iron darts and other weapons.' ॥ 3-156-24 ॥

english translation

अप्सरॊभिः परिवृतः समृद्ध्या नरवाहनः इह वैश्रवणस तात पर्व संधिषु दृश्यते ॥ ३-१५६-२५ ॥

'There, O child, during the Parvas, Vaisravana, riding on the shoulders of men, is seen in great pomp and grandeur, surrounded by the Apsaras.' ॥ 3-156-25 ॥
