पितृपैतामहं वृत्तं कच चित पार्थानुवर्तसे कच चिद राजर्षियातेन पथा गच्छसि पाण्डव ।। ३-१५६-११ ।।

sanskrit

'O Partha, do you follow the conduct of your fathers and grandfathers? And, O Pandava, do you walk the path shown by the royal sages?' ।। 3-156-11 ।।

pitRpaitAmahaM vRttaM kaca cita pArthAnuvartase kaca cida rAjarSiyAtena pathA gacchasi pANDava || 3-156-11 ||

'Pondering whether the sinful actions of this child will bring harm to them, or whether his virtuous deeds will lead to their welfare.' ।। 3-156-13 ।।
