ललाभिश चैव बह्वीभिः पुष्पिताः पादपॊत्तमाः संश्लिष्टाः पार्थ शॊभन्ते गन्धमादन सानुषु ॥ ३-१५५-७१ ॥
'Many excellent trees, adorned with blossoms and touched by numerous creepers, Shine beautifully, O Partha, on the slopes of Gandhamadana.' ॥ 3-155-71 ॥
english translation
शिखण्डिनीभिश चरतां सहितानां शिखण्डिनाम नर्दतां शृणु निर्घॊषं भीम पर्वतसानुषु ॥ ३-१५५-७२ ॥
'Listen, O Bhima, to the roaring sound, Of the creatures moving with their horns, Alongside those with horns, walking on the slopes of the mountain.' ॥ 3-155-72 ॥

चकॊराः शतपत्राश च मत्तकॊकिल शारिकाः पत्रिणः पुष्पितान एतान संश्लिष्यन्ति महाद्रुमान ॥ ३-१५५-७३ ॥
'Chakoras with hundred feathers, and peacocks intoxicated with the sounds of cuckoos and shārīkas, Embrace these great trees, adorned with blooming leaves.' ॥ 3-155-73 ॥

रक्तपीतारुणाः पार्थ पादपाग्र गता दविजाः परस्परम उदीक्षन्ते बहवॊ जीव जीवकाः ॥ ३-१५५-७४ ॥
'O Partha, the birds of red, yellow, and reddish hues, Perched on the tops of the trees, Look at each other, calling out to one another, In great numbers, with their joyful cries.' ॥ 3-155-74 ॥

हरितारुणवर्णानां शाद्वलानां समन्ततः सारसाः परतिदृश्यन्ते शैलप्रस्रवणेष्व अपि ॥ ३-१५५-७५ ॥
'O Partha, as Vrishaparva had spoken, the Gandharvas and the Kimpurushas, accompanied by their beloved ones, are seen upon the mountain summits.' ॥ 3-155-75 ॥
