नानामृगगणैर जुष्टं कौन्तेयः सत्यविक्रमः पदातिर भरातृभिः सार्धं परातिष्ठत युधिष्ठिरः ॥ ३-१५५-२६ ॥
'Then, Yudhishthira, the son of Kunti, of unwavering prowess, along with his brothers, began their journey on foot along the mountain path, inhabited by various wild beasts.' ॥ 3-155-26 ॥

नानाद्रुमनिरॊधेषु वसन्तः शैलसानुषु पर्वतं विविशुः शवेतं चतुर्थे ऽहनि पाण्डवाः ॥ ३-१५५-२७ ॥
'After dwelling on the mountain slopes, densely covered with trees, Pandu's son reached the Sweta mountain on the fourth days.' ॥ 3-155-27 ॥

महाभ्रघनसंकाशं सलिलॊपहितं शुभम मणिकाञ्चनरम्यं च शैलं नाना समुच्छ्रयम ॥ ३-१५५-२८ ॥
'It was like a vast mass of clouds, abundant in streams, and composed of gold and precious gems. Following the path indicated by Vrishaparva, they reached their intended destinations, one by one, gazing upon various mountains along the way.' ॥ 3-155-28 ॥

ते समासाद्य पन्थानं यथॊक्तं वृषपर्वणा अनुसस्रुर यथॊद्देशं पश्यन्तॊ विविधान नगान ॥ ३-१५५-२९ ॥
'Having reached the path as instructed by Vrishaparva, they followed it, observing various mountains along the way.' ॥ 3-155-29 ॥

उपर्य उपरि शैलस्य गुहा परमदुर्गमाः सुदुर्गमांस ते सुबहून सुखेनैवाभिचक्रमुः ॥ ३-१५५-३० ॥
'Time and again, they effortlessly traversed many inaccessible rocks and impassable caves of the mountain.' ॥ 3-155-30 ॥
