यं चासि परस्थितॊ देशं मनॊ पूर्वं गतं च ते न तं गन्तासि गन्तासि मार्गं बकहिडिम्बयॊः ॥ ३-१५४-३६ ॥
'That very place to which thy mind was set to go, thou shalt not reach. Instead, thou shalt follow the path taken by Vaka and Hidimva.' ॥ 3-154-36 ॥
english translation
एवम उक्तस तु भीमेन राक्षसः कालचॊद्नितः भीत उत्सृज्य तान सर्वान युद्धाय समुपस्थितः ॥ ३-१५४-३७ ॥
'Thus addressed by Bhima, the Rakshasa, trembling with alarm, set them down and, driven by Fate, moved forward for battle.' ॥ 3-154-37 ॥
english translation
अब्रवीच च पुनर भीमं रॊषात परस्फुरिताधरः न मे मूढा दिशः पापत्वद अर्थं मे विलम्बनम ॥ ३-१५४-३८ ॥
'And with his lips trembling in anger, the Rakshasa addressed Bhima, saying, "Wretch! I have not been bewildered; I have only delayed for your sake.' ॥ 3-154-38 ॥
english translation
शरुता मे राक्षसा ये ये तवया विनिहता रणे तेषाम अद्य करिष्यामि तवास्रेणॊदक करियाम ॥ ३-१५४-३९ ॥
'Today, I shall offer oblations of your blood to the Rakshasas whom I have heard you have slain in battle.' ॥ 3-154-39 ॥

एवम उक्तस ततॊ भीमः सृक्किणी परिसंलिहन समयमान इव करॊधात साक्षात कालान्तकॊपमः बाहुसंरम्भम एवेच्छन्न अभिदुद्राव राक्षसम ॥ ३-१५४-४० ॥
'Thus addressed, Bhima, his fury surging like Yama at the time of universal dissolution, rushed toward the Rakshasa. Licking the corners of his mouth and striking his own arms with his hands, he glared at the foe, his wrath palpable.' ॥ 3-154-40 ॥
