ततॊ ऽनये च चतुर्वेदास तरिवेदाश च तथापरे दविवेदाश चैकवेदाश चाप्य अनृचश च तथापरे ।। ३-१४८-२७ ।।

sanskrit

'Some individuals preserve the knowledge of all four Vedas, while others are proficient in three, two, or even a single Veda. Yet, there are also those unfamiliar with even the Rigvedic hymns.' ।। 3-148-27 ।।

english translation

tatò 'naye ca caturvedAsa tarivedAza ca tathApare davivedAza caikavedAza cApya anRcaza ca tathApare || 3-148-27 ||
