विवेश शॊभया युक्तं भरातृभिश च सहानघ बराह्मणैर वेदवेदाङ्गपारगैश च सहाच्युतः ।। ३-१४५-३६ ।।

sanskrit

'The sinless one (Anagha) entered that beautiful place along with his brothers, And Achyuta (Krishna) entered with the Brahmanas who were masters of the Vedas and Vedangas.' ।। 3-145-36 ।।

english translation

viveza zòbhayA yuktaM bharAtRbhiza ca sahAnagha barAhmaNaira vedavedAGgapAragaiza ca sahAcyutaH || 3-145-36 ||

hk transliteration

तत्रापश्यत स धर्मात्मा देवदेवर्षिपूजितम नरनारायण सथानं भागीरथ्यॊपशॊभितम ।। ३-१४५-३७ ।।

sanskrit

'There, the virtuous Yudhishthira beheld the hermitage of Nara and Narayana, adorned by the sacred Bhagirathi and revered by the gods and celestial sages.' ।। 3-145-37 ।।

english translation

tatrApazyata sa dharmAtmA devadevarSipUjitama naranArAyaNa sathAnaM bhAgIrathyòpazòbhitama || 3-145-37 ||

hk transliteration

मधुस्रव फलां दिव्यां महर्षिगणसेविताम ताम उपैत्य महात्मानस ते ऽवसन बराह्मणैः सह ।। ३-१४५-३८ ।।

sanskrit

'As they gazed upon that sacred abode, inhabited by Brahmarshis and overflowing with fruits that dropped honey, the Pandavas were filled with immense joy.' ।। 3-145-38 ।।

english translation

madhusrava phalAM divyAM maharSigaNasevitAma tAma upaitya mahAtmAnasa te 'vasana barAhmaNaiH saha || 3-145-38 ||

hk transliteration

आलॊकयन्तॊ मैनाकं नानाद्विज गणायुतम हिरण्यशिखरं चैव तच च बिन्दुसरः शिवम ।। ३-१४५-३९ ।।

sanskrit

'Having reached that sacred place, the high-souled ones, along with the Brahmanas, began to dwell there in peace. They beheld the holy Vinda Lake and the golden-topped Mainaka Mountain, teeming with a variety of birds.' ।। 3-145-39 ।।

english translation

Alòkayantò mainAkaM nAnAdvija gaNAyutama hiraNyazikharaM caiva taca ca bindusaraH zivama || 3-145-39 ||

hk transliteration

भागीरथीं सुतार्थां च शीतामल जरां शिवाम मनि परवालप्रस्तारां पादपैर उपशॊभिताम ।। ३-१४५-४० ।।

sanskrit

'(They saw) the Bhagirathi (Ganges), easy to cross, with cool and pure water, auspicious, Adorned with precious gems and corals at its base, and beautified by trees (along its banks).' ।। 3-145-40 ।।

english translation

bhAgIrathIM sutArthAM ca zItAmala jarAM zivAma mani paravAlaprastArAM pAdapaira upazòbhitAma || 3-145-40 ||
