[य] अन्तर्हितानि भूतानि रक्षांसि बलवन्ति च अग्निना तपसा चैव शक्यं गन्तुं वृकॊदर ॥ ३-१४१-१ ॥
'Yudhishthira said, "O Vrikodara, this place is inhabited by powerful and invisible spirits. However, we shall pass through it by the merit of our asceticism and Agnihotra sacrifices."' ॥ 3-141-1 ॥
english translation
[ya] antarhitAni bhUtAni rakSAMsi balavanti ca agninA tapasA caiva zakyaM gantuM vRkòdara ॥ 3-141-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंनिवर्तय कौन्तेय कषुत्पिपासे बलान्वयात ततॊ बलं च दाक्ष्यं च संश्रयस्व कुरूद्वह ॥ ३-१४१-२ ॥
'O son of Kunti, therefore, restrain your hunger and thirst, gather your strength, and, O Vrikodara, rely on your might and resourcefulness.' ॥ 3-141-2 ॥

saMnivartaya kaunteya kaSutpipAse balAnvayAta tatò balaM ca dAkSyaM ca saMzrayasva kurUdvaha ॥ 3-141-2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptऋषेस तवया शरुतं वाक्यं कैलासं पर्वतं परति बुद्ध्या परपश्य कौन्तेय कथं कृष्णा गमिष्यति ॥ ३-१४१-३ ॥
'O son of Kunti, you have heard what the sage Lomasa said regarding Mount Kailasa. Therefore, after careful reflection, determine how Krishna will traverse this place.' ॥ 3-141-3 ॥

RSesa tavayA zarutaM vAkyaM kailAsaM parvataM parati buddhyA parapazya kaunteya kathaM kRSNA gamiSyati ॥ 3-141-3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ वा सहदेवेन धौम्येन च सहाभिभॊ सूदैः पौरॊगवैश चैव सर्वैश च परिचारकैः ॥ ३-१४१-४ ॥
'Or, O mighty Bhima with large eyes, return from here, taking with you Sahadeva, and all our charioteers, cooks, servants, carts, horses, and the Brahmanas fatigued by the journey.' ॥ 3-141-4 ॥

atha vA sahadevena dhaumyena ca sahAbhibhò sUdaiH paurògavaiza caiva sarvaiza ca paricArakaiH ॥ 3-141-4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरथैर अश्वैश च ये चान्ये विप्राः कलेशासहा पथि सर्वैस तवं सहितॊ भीम निवर्तस्वायतेक्षण ॥ ३-१४१-५ ॥
'Meanwhile, Nakula and I, along with the sage Lomasa, who is devoted to severe austerities, shall proceed, subsisting on the lightest fare and observing our vows.' ॥ 3-141-5 ॥
