एवम उक्तॊ यदि मया गृह्णीयाद वचनं मम अनामयं सयाद धर्मस्य कुरूणां कुरुनन्दन ॥ ३-१४-११ ॥
'I would have detailed these and other attendant evils. Had he heeded my counsel, the Kurus' well-being and virtue would have been preserved.' ॥ 3-14-11 ॥
english translation
evama uktò yadi mayA gRhNIyAda vacanaM mama anAmayaM sayAda dharmasya kurUNAM kurunandana ॥ 3-14-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन चेत स मम राजेन्द्र गृह्णीयान मधुरं वचः पथ्यं च भरतश्रेष्ठ निगृह्णीयां बलेन तम ॥ ३-१४-१२ ॥
'And, O foremost of kings, had he rejected my gentle counsel, which I offered as a remedy, I would have compelled him by force.' ॥ 3-14-12 ॥
english translation
na ceta sa mama rAjendra gRhNIyAna madhuraM vacaH pathyaM ca bharatazreSTha nigRhNIyAM balena tama ॥ 3-14-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथैनान अभिनीयैवं सुहृदॊ नाम दुर्हृदः सभासदश च तान सर्वान भेदयेयं दुरॊदरान ॥ ३-१४-१३ ॥
'If those who feigned friendship but were truly his enemies had supported him, I would have slain them all, along with the gamblers present!' ॥ 3-14-13 ॥
english translation
athainAna abhinIyaivaM suhRdò nAma durhRdaH sabhAsadaza ca tAna sarvAna bhedayeyaM duròdarAna ॥ 3-14-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअसांनिध्यं तु कौरव्य ममानर्तेष्व अभूत तदा येनेदं वयसनं पराप्ता भवन्तॊ दयूतकारितम ॥ ३-१४-१४ ॥
'O Kauravya, it is due to my absence from the land of Anarta at that time that you have fallen into such distress caused by dice!' ॥ 3-14-14 ॥

asAMnidhyaM tu kauravya mamAnarteSva abhUta tadA yenedaM vayasanaM parAptA bhavantò dayUtakAritama ॥ 3-14-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसॊ ऽहम एत्य कुरुश्रेष्ठ दवारकां पाण्डुनन्दन अश्रौषं तवां वयसनिनं युयुधानाद यथा तथम ॥ ३-१४-१५ ॥
'O best of the Kurus, upon reaching Dwarka, I learned from Yuyudhana about your calamity.' ॥ 3-14-15 ॥

sò 'hama etya kuruzreSTha davArakAM pANDunandana azrauSaM tavAM vayasaninaM yuyudhAnAda yathA tathama ॥ 3-14-15 ॥
