अनेन तु गुरून दुःखात तॊषयित्वा सवकर्मणा कालेन महता कलेशाद बरह्माधिगतम उत्तमम ॥ ३-१३९-२२ ॥
'But this man, Raivya, enduring many hardships, pleased his preceptor through his conduct and, after great effort and over a long period of time, received the supreme knowledge of the Vedas.' ॥ 3-139-22 ॥
