सनत्कुमारॊ भगवान अत्र सिद्धिम अगात पराम आजमीधावगाह्यैनां सर्वपापैः परमॊक्ष्यसे ।। ३-१३५-६ ।।

sanskrit

'Here, in ancient times, the holy sage Sanatkumara attained supreme ascetic success. O scion of the Ajamidha lineage, by performing your ablutions in this river, you will be liberated from all your sins.' ।। 3-135-6 ।।

english translation

sanatkumArò bhagavAna atra siddhima agAta parAma AjamIdhAvagAhyainAM sarvapApaiH paramòkSyase || 3-135-6 ||

hk transliteration

अपां हरदं च पुण्याख्यं भृगुतुङ्गं च पर्वतम तूष्णीं गङ्गां च कौन्तेय सामात्यः समुपस्पृश ।। ३-१३५-७ ।।

sanskrit

'O Kaunteya (Arjuna), along with your ministers/companions, silently touch/pay respects to the sacred water reservoir (Apam Hardam), the holy mountain Bhrigutunga, and the Ganges.' ।। 3-135-7 ।।

english translation

apAM haradaM ca puNyAkhyaM bhRgutuGgaM ca parvatama tUSNIM gaGgAM ca kaunteya sAmAtyaH samupaspRza || 3-135-7 ||

hk transliteration

आश्रमः सथूलशिरसॊ रमणीयः परकाशते अत्र मानं च कौन्तेय करॊधं चैव विवर्जय ।। ३-१३५-८ ।।

sanskrit

'Here, O Kunti's son, lies the hermitage of the sage Sthulasiras. Lay aside your anger and pride here.' ।। 3-135-8 ।।

english translation

AzramaH sathUlazirasò ramaNIyaH parakAzate atra mAnaM ca kaunteya karòdhaM caiva vivarjaya || 3-135-8 ||

hk transliteration

एष रैभ्याश्रमः शरीमान पाण्डवेय परकाशते भारद्वाजॊ यत्र कविर यवक्रीतॊ वयनश्यत ।। ३-१३५-९ ।।

sanskrit

'And there, O son of Pandu, is the beautiful hermitage of Raivya, where the learned Yavakari, the son of Bharadwaja, passed away.' ।। 3-135-9 ।।

english translation

eSa raibhyAzramaH zarImAna pANDaveya parakAzate bhAradvAjò yatra kavira yavakrItò vayanazyata || 3-135-9 ||

hk transliteration

कथं युक्तॊ ऽभवद ऋषिर भरद्वाजः परतापवान किमर्थं च यवक्रीत ऋषिपुत्रॊ वयनश्यत ।। ३-१३५-१० ।।

sanskrit

'Yudhishthira said, "How did the mighty sage Yavakri, the son of the ascetic Bharadwaja, attain such profound knowledge of the Vedas? And how did he meet his end? I am anxious to hear all this, just as it happened. I take delight in listening to the narration of the deeds of god-like men."' ।। 3-135-10 ।।

kathaM yuktò 'bhavada RSira bharadvAjaH paratApavAna kimarthaM ca yavakrIta RSiputrò vayanazyata || 3-135-10 ||
