महद उक्थ्यं गीयते साम चाग्र्यं; सम्यक सॊमः पीयते चात्र सत्रे शुचीन भागान परतिजगृहुश च हृष्टाः; साक्षाद देवा जनकस्येह यज्ञे ॥ ३-१३४-३६ ॥
'In King Janaka's sacrifice, the principal hymns of the Uktha rites are being recited, and the Soma juice is being consumed in proper measure. The gods themselves, present in person, joyfully receive their sacred portions.' ॥ 3-134-36 ॥

समुत्थितेष्व अथ सर्वेषु राजन; विप्रेषु तेष्व अधिकं सुप्रभेषु अनुज्ञातॊ जनकेनाथ राज्ञा; विवेश तॊयं सागरस्यॊत बन्दी ॥ ३-१३४-३७ ॥
'Lomasa said, "When the Brahmanas, in their heightened brilliance, had risen, Vandin, having received permission from King Janaka, entered the waters of the sea."' ॥ 3-134-37 ॥

अस्तावक्रः पितरं पूजयित्वा; संपूजितॊ बराह्मणैस तैर यथावत परत्याजगामाश्रमम एव चाग्र्यं; जित्वा बन्दिं सहितॊ मातुलेन ॥ ३-१३४-३८ ॥
'Then Ashtavakra worshipped his father, and in turn, was honored by the Brahmanas. Having triumphed over the Suta's son, he returned to his esteemed hermitage, accompanied by his uncle.' ॥ 3-134-38 ॥

अत्र कौन्तेय सहितॊ भरातृभिस तवं; सुखॊषितः सह विप्रैः परतीतः पुण्यान्य अन्यानि शुचि कर्मैक भक्तिर; मया सार्धं चरितास्य आजमीध ॥ ३-१३४-३९ ॥
'Therefore, O Yudhishthira, you and your brothers, along with your wife, should bathe in this sacred river. O son of Kunti, O scion of the Ajamidha lineage, by living here in happiness and harmony with your brothers and the Brahmanas, you will be able to perform further acts of merit with me, always engaged in virtuous deeds.' ॥ 3-134-39 ॥
