[अस्ट] भॊ भॊ राजञ जनकानां वरिष्ठ; सभाज्यस तवं तवयि सर्वं समृद्धम तवं वा कर्ता कर्मणां यज्ञियानां; ययातिर एकॊ नृपतिर वा पुरस्तात ॥ ३-१३३-१६ ॥
'Ashtavakra, addressing the king, said, "O King, O foremost of Janaka's lineage, you are the supreme sovereign, and all power resides with you. In ancient times, King Yayati was the presider over sacrifices, and now it is you who perform these sacred rites."' ॥ 3-133-16 ॥
