तस्मिन काले बरह्म विदां वरिष्ठाव; आस्तां तदा मातुलभागिनेयौ अष्टावक्रश चैव कहॊड सूनुर; औद्दालकिः शवेतकेतुश च राजन ।। ३-१३२-३ ।।

'May I be blessed with the gift of eloquence!" During that era, Śvetaketu, the son of Uddālaka, and Aṣṭāvakra, the son of Kahoda, stood as the foremost among those proficient in sacred knowledge.' ।। 3-132-3 ।।

tasmina kAle barahma vidAM variSThAva; AstAM tadA mAtulabhAgineyau aSTAvakraza caiva kahòDa sUnura; auddAlakiH zavetaketuza ca rAjana || 3-132-3 ||
