[षयेन] धर्मात्मानं तव आहुर एकं सर्वे राजन महीक्षितः स वै धर्मविरुद्धं तवं कस्मात कर्म चिकीर्षसि ।। ३-१३१-१ ।।

sanskrit

'The hawk said, "All the kings of the earth regard you as a righteous ruler. Why, then, O prince, have you paused to commit an act that is contrary to the (Dharma) righteous law?"' ।। 3-131-1 ।।

english translation

[Sayena] dharmAtmAnaM tava Ahura ekaM sarve rAjana mahIkSitaH sa vai dharmaviruddhaM tavaM kasmAta karma cikIrSasi || 3-131-1 ||
