जिज्ञासमानौ वरदौ महात्मानम उशीनरम इन्द्रः शयेनः कपॊतॊ ऽगनिर भूत्वा यज्ञे ऽभिजग्मतुः ॥ ३-१३०-१९ ॥

sanskrit

'Indra and Agni, taking the forms of a hawk (shyena) and a dove (kapota), came to the sacrifice to test the great-souled Ushinara, the bestower of boons.' ॥ 3-130-19 ॥

english translation

jijJAsamAnau varadau mahAtmAnama uzInarama indraH zayenaH kapòtò 'ganira bhUtvA yajJe 'bhijagmatuH ॥ 3-130-19 ॥
