य एतान आक्षिपद राष्ट्रात सह मात्राविहिंसकान अधीयानान पुरा बालान वरतस्थान मधुसूदन ॥ ३-१३-७१ ॥
'He was the one who drove the innocent Pandavas and their mother from the kingdom when they were mere children, engaged in study and vows.' ॥ 3-13-71 ॥
english translation
भॊजने भीमसेनस्य पापः पराक्षेपयद विषम कालकूटं नवं तीक्ष्णं संभृतं लॊमहर्षणम ॥ ३-१३-७२ ॥
'It was that sinful wretch, O Janardana, who, terrible as it is to recall, mixed fresh and deadly poison in full measure into Bhima’s food.' ॥ 3-13-72 ॥
english translation
तज जीर्णम अविकारेण सहान्नेन जनार्दन सशेषत्वान महाबाहॊ भीमस्य पुरुषॊत्तम ॥ ३-१३-७३ ॥
'Yet, O mighty-armed Krishna, Bhima digested that poison with his meal, unharmed, for his destined time had not yet come.' ॥ 3-13-73 ॥

परमाण कॊट्यां विश्वस्तं तथा सुप्तं वृकॊदरम बद्ध्वैनं कृष्ण गङ्गायां परक्षिप्य पुनर आव्रजत ॥ ३-१३-७४ ॥
'Furthermore, Duryodhana, at a house near the banyan tree called Pramana, bound the unsuspecting Bhima in his sleep and cast him into the Ganges before returning to the city.' ॥ 3-13-74 ॥

यदा विबुद्धः कौन्तेयस तदा संछिद्य बन्धनम उदतिष्ठन महाबाहुर भीमसेनॊ महाबलः ॥ ३-१३-७५ ॥
'However, the powerful Bhimasena, son of Kunti, awoke, broke his bonds, and emerged from the waters unscathed.' ॥ 3-13-75 ॥
