मर्त्यता चैव भूतानाम अमरत्वं दिवौकसाम तवयि सर्वं महाबाहॊ लॊककार्यं परतिष्ठितम ॥ ३-१३-५१ ॥
'O mighty-armed one, you are the foundation of the moral order on earth and the immortality of the universe. Thou art the Supreme Lord of all beings, celestial and mortal alike!' ॥ 3-13-51 ॥

सा ते ऽहं दुःखम आख्यास्ये परणयान मधुसूदन ईशस तवं सर्वभूतानां ये दिव्या ये च मानुषाः ॥ ३-१३-५२ ॥
'Thus, O slayer of Madhu, driven by the affection thou bearest me, I now share my sorrows with you.' ॥ 3-13-52 ॥

कथं नु भार्या पार्थानां तव कृष्ण सखी विभॊ धृष्टद्युम्नस्य भगिनी सभां कृष्येत मादृशी ॥ ३-१३-५३ ॥
'How could one like me—wife of the Pandavas, sister to Dhrishtadyumna, and friend to you—be dragged into the assembly?' ॥ 3-13-53 ॥

सत्री धर्मिणी वेपमाना रुधिरेण समुक्षिता एकवस्त्रा विकृष्टास्मि दुःखिता कुरुसंसदि ॥ ३-१३-५४ ॥
'Alas, during my period of impurity, covered in only a single cloth, trembling and weeping, I was pulled before the Kuru court.' ॥ 3-13-54 ॥

राजमध्ये सभायां तु रजसाभिसमीरिताम दृष्ट्वा च मां धार्तराष्ट्रः पराहसन पापचेतसः ॥ ३-१३-५५ ॥
'Seeing me in that pitiable state, stained with blood, the wicked sons of Dhritarashtra laughed at me!' ॥ 3-13-55 ॥
