निहत्य नरकं भौमम आहृत्य मणिकुण्डले परथमॊत्पादितं कृष्ण मेध्यम अश्वम अवासृजः ॥ ३-१३-१६ ॥
'After slaying the Asura Naraka, the first-born of the Earth, you acquired his divine earrings and performed the first horse-sacrifice, offering the Asura himself as the sacrificial horse.' ॥ 3-13-16 ॥

कृत्वा तत कर्म लॊकानाम ऋषभः सर्वलॊकजित अवधीस तवं रणे सर्वान समेतान दैत्यदानवान ॥ ३-१३-१७ ॥
'And, O supreme among all beings, having accomplished this great feat, you achieved victory over all! You vanquished all the Daityas and Danavas gathered in battle.' ॥ 3-13-17 ॥

ततः सर्वेश्वरत्वं च संप्रदाय शचीपतेः मानुषेषु महाबाहॊ परादुर्भूतॊ ऽसि केशव ॥ ३-१३-१८ ॥
'Granting sovereignty over the universe to Indra, you, O mighty-armed Kesava, took birth among humans.' ॥ 3-13-18 ॥

स तवं नारायणॊ भूत्वा हरिर आसीः परंतप बरह्मा सॊमश च सूर्यश च धर्मॊ धाता यमॊ ऽनलः ॥ ३-१३-१९ ॥
'O slayer of foes, after floating on the primordial waters, you became Hari, and were manifested as Brahma, Surya, Dharma, Dhatri, Yama, Anala.' ॥ 3-13-19 ॥

वायुर वैश्रवणॊ रुद्रः कालः खं पृथिवी दिशः अजश चराचरगुरुः सरष्टा तवं पुरुषॊत्तम ॥ ३-१३-२० ॥
'You were Vayu, Vaisravana, Rudra, Kala, the sky, the earth, and the directions. You are the unborn, the teacher of all moving and non-moving beings, and the creator, O supreme person.' ॥ 3-13-20 ॥
