दशवर्षसहस्राणि दशवर्षशतानि च पुष्करेष्व अवसः कृष्ण तवम अपॊ भक्षयन पुरा ॥ ३-१३-११ ॥
'Living only on water, you also spent eleven thousand years by the Pushkara lake.' ॥ 3-13-11 ॥
english translation
ऊर्ध्वबाहुर विशालायां बदर्यां मधुसूदन अतिष्ठ एकपादेन वायुभक्षः शतं समाः ॥ ३-१३-१२ ॥
'O slayer of Madhu, you spent a century standing on one leg in the high hills of Vadari, sustaining yourself solely on air.' ॥ 3-13-12 ॥
english translation
अपकृष्टॊत्तरासङ्गः कृशॊ धमनि संततः आसीः कृष्ण सरस्वत्यां सत्रे दवादश वार्षिके ॥ ३-१३-१३ ॥
'Furthermore, abandoning your upper garment and with your body reduced to a mere bundle of veins, you performed a twelve-year-long sacrifice on the banks of the Saraswati.' ॥ 3-13-13 ॥

परभासं चाप्य अथासाद्य तीर्थं पुण्यजनॊचितम तथा कृष्ण महातेजा दिव्यं वर्षसहस्रकम आतिष्ठस तप एकेन पादेन नियमे सथितः ॥ ३-१३-१४ ॥
'And, O Krishna of boundless energy, in fulfillment of your vow, you stood on one leg for a thousand celestial years on the plains of Prabhasa, a place befitting the virtuous.' ॥ 3-13-14 ॥

कषेत्रजः सर्वभूतानाम आदिर अन्तश च केशव निधानं तपसां कृष्ण यज्ञस तवं च सनातनः ॥ ३-१३-१५ ॥
'O Kesava, lord of Kshetra, you are the mover of all minds, the beginning and end of all things. All asceticism finds its ultimate purpose in you, and you are the embodiment of all sacrifices and the eternal one.' ॥ 3-13-15 ॥
