शास्त्रदृष्टेन विधिना संयॊज्यात्मानम आत्मना पिपासा शुष्कहृदयः परविवेशाश्रमं भृगॊर ।। ३-१२६-८ ।।

sanskrit

'And he, of disciplined soul, devoted himself to the practices prescribed in the sacred scriptures. Once, O king, he observed a fast, and in the grip of hunger, his soul seemed parched with thirst.' ।। 3-126-8 ।।

english translation

zAstradRSTena vidhinA saMyòjyAtmAnama AtmanA pipAsA zuSkahRdayaH paravivezAzramaM bhRgòra || 3-126-8 ||
